Christopher Hauschild
Chris Hauschild incorporated Vicinia Corporation
in March 2001 and he has overseen the company
from the start.
Chris Hauschild is the President of Vicinia
Corporation and is responsible for the day-to-day
management of the company, customer care,
and project management. He is also one of the
EH&S consultants and continues to conduct
training, provide management systems and
programs, conduct audits and assessments
and sells wastewater treatment systems.
It’s a busy job, but somebody’s gotta do it!
Chris’ love of the environment goes back to his youth where near Ottawa he grew up on a small farm and spent countless days in parks, cottages and the backcountry. He decided that he needed a job at some point in life and joined the Canadian Forces Reserves as a Field Engineer in 1985. Chris completed his B.Sc. with Honours in Biology in 1991 and worked for a few years at laboratories at the University of Ottawa and Trent University. He finally managed to merge his love of science and the environment with the military when in 1996 he moved to Barrie and worked at the CFB Borden Environment, Health and Safety Office. When Vicinia Corporation was started, he decided to stay in Barrie – it is a friendly city that is close to the back country and still near the travel hub of Toronto.
Spare time: golf, curling and getting away – either travel or the back woods

Dislikes: Jersey Shore; ordering a Black Russian and getting something else
